So, you want to know a little about me, eh? Well, I started out as a designer & illustrator after graduating from Huntington University (2002), where I was named the Young Alumnus of the Year in 2008 for my work in the design field. After founding Elden Creative Group in late 2009, I turned my attention to illustrating my first picture book, Petunia Pepper’s Picture Day (Warner Press). In addition to illustrating stories, my writings have also been featured in Focus On The Family’s Clubhouse Jr. Magazine, and I still write copy for some of ECG’s current clients.
Fast forward a bit (orrrr maybe a lot) and I have 15 years of experience in design & marketing, including direction roles on in-house teams as well as freelancing for outside clients. My time has been spent on a variety of projects that have included print & web design, branding, online & offline marketing, public relations, and illustration.
In addition to my creative work, I serve as president of my hometown’s chamber of commerce and hope to continue to build it into the best place to live & earn a living. I’ve also been active with the Young Entrepreneur’s Academy as a student mentor, and the United Way of Williams & Defiance Counties.
When not doing creative stuff, I’m probably chasing my kids around the house or trying not to hurt myself in a rec league sport of some kind. You can find me on most of the social networks out there — I try to keep up with the young’uns.
